Elizabeth’s Song (Isaiah 35)

December 8, 2018

Jordan Durbin

Behold! Behold!

The ancient story told

of desert wilderness

blooming  green and gold.

From the womb of the barren

and the womb of the virgin

spring holy life!

Be strong! Be strong!

Weary hands who’ve longed

to be filled with new life

and lullaby song.

The blind eyes will open,

 deaf ears be unstopped:

He comes to save!

Make straight! Make straight!

The road to the stable

for kings and shepherds

and all redeemed people!

Crown the infant our King,

as He crowns us with joy

everlasting!

Raise up the valleys!

Bow you hills!

The earth and stable

with glory are filled!

All the world’s people

will see it revealed

together!

Shout it out loud

and do not be afraid!

The Savior of all

in a manger is laid.

See how creation

and all of the nations

rejoice!

Gloria!
