One of the great discouragements that every writer or artist faces is the reality of being limited and being alone. Our own resources are too small to allow us to create what we can sense or envision. Every single one of us faces this reality at some point. I believe that is purposeful and though sometimes hard to understand, I believe it is for our good. To find that we cannot do alone what is within us to create is part of what compels us into seeking community and relationships.
When we are confronted though with needs that we don’t know how to fill, how do we find what we need? Where do we go to find more than what we have? Where are other communities for us to connect with so we have fellowship? Where do we find schools to help us grow intellectually and academically? Where do we find voices talking about thing we need to understand as we go about cultivating our lives? Where do we find people to follow who will inspire us to be better and work for what we are capable of? Well, one of the great pre-existing wonders of the world is that God has indeed made a wealth of resources for us. In this section of Cultivating, we have curated a collection of some of the best resources we know to help you along your way. Doubtless, as you pursue these good offerings, you will find more. Please pass those discoveries along to us to include here for others. The well of God’s provision is not dry. He is able to provide just what we need and just when we need it most!
